Terms and Conditions
Acceptance all of our terms and conditions: By submitting an application form or enrolling in an ED-World programme, the applicant, and where applicable their legal guardian or authorised agent, confirm acceptance of all applicable ED-World Terms and Conditions.
Application form: Application forms must be fully completed and submitted via the designated application process.
Flight details are mandatory where airport transfers or travel coordination are required.
Any special requests or relevant information must be provided at the time of booking in order to be considered.Deposit: A deposit of €350 per person is required at the time of booking for standard courses. For combined or bespoke programmes, a deposit of €500 per person applies. Applications received without the required deposit will not be processed. All deposits are non-refundable.
Course Availability: All courses and programmes are subject to availability and demand. Applicants are not considered accepted onto a course until written confirmation is issued by ED-World. If a programme does not reach the minimum required number of participants, it may be cancelled. Where possible, an alternative programme will be offered at no additional cost.
Sufficient numbers for a complete class: In some cases, there may be insufficient numbers to form a complete class at a specific level.
Participants will be individually assessed and placed in the most suitable available level.Right to cancel arrangements: ED-World reserves the right to cancel arrangements where these Terms and Conditions are not met or where programmes are under-subscribed. Participants who breach programme rules or regulations may be required to leave the programme early, at their own expense. ED-World cannot be held responsible for cancellations resulting from force majeure events, health issues, or personal circumstances.
Cancellations: All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refunds (excluding the non-refundable deposit) are calculated as follows:
- 35–45 days before arrival: 75% refund of fees paid
- 30–35 days before arrival: 40% refund of fees paid
- 15–30 days before arrival: 20% refund of fees paid
- 7 days or less before arrival: 10% refund of fees paid.
No refunds will be issued once a participant has commenced their contracted programme.
All deposits remain non-refundable.Rates: ED-World reserves the right to amend programme rates. Any changes will be published on the website and communicated to affected parties where applicable.
Payment: Full payment in euro (€) must be received no later than 31 days prior to arrival.
Services will only be provided once payment has been received in full.
Any bank charges incurred are the responsibility of the payer.National holidays: No refunds are provided for classes or activities missed due to national or public holidays.
Special offers: Special offers cannot be accumulated. All offers are subject to availability. There will be no changes made to bookings that have been received prior to the promotion. All offers and promotions will be applied at the time of booking. Discounts that became available after the first enrolment are not valid.
Programme participants Liability: Programme participants are liable for any damage they cause. Payment for such damage must be made immediately.
Optional: Optional extras to the programme must be requested in writing and paid in full no later than four weeks before the intended start date. Any special requests or requirements relating to participant needs, colleges or residences, host families, or excursions must be indicated at the time of booking.
Extras: All extras are subject to availability. It is advised that programme participants book them as early as possible. In the case of public/private transfers, no accommodation details will be provided until programme participants have indicated their desire for a public transport ticket or private transfers.
Airport transfers: Airport transfers can only be arranged when flight information (location, date, time and flight number) is received via the dedicated field of the application form. We cannot take responsibility for transfers unless this procedure is followed. In the event that a programme participant misses their flight we must be told at the earliest possible time. Failure to do so will result in the full fee being charged.
Change host family: A fee of 150 Euros must be paid if a programme participant insists on moving to a different host family without due cause. This must be paid before moving.
Pets: Any requests regarding no pets in the host family may not be facilitated unless a serious allergy is present. We may request doctor’s proof of such allergies.
Insurance: All participants must arrange their own insurance prior to arrival, covering illness, accidents, loss of property, and travel disruption or loss of luggage, personal effects and money. ED-World and our host families are not liable in the event of such occurrences. The programmes will operate on the highest safety standards. ED-World shall not be responsible for any illness, disease, accident, or loss of property unless caused by a wilful act of negligence on the part of the programme or its staff.
Health and diet: Any health conditions or specific dietary requirements of participants must be disclosed at the time of booking. If a participant becomes unwell and requires medical attention, a programme supervisor will assist with making the necessary arrangements. Please note that it is uncommon for medical professionals to visit programme centres, and any visits to a doctor, dentist, or hospital must be paid for by the participant.
Visiting: Parents or guardians may visit the programme only with prior approval and during designated check-in and check-out times. Unscheduled visits may be disruptive to the participant, other participants, and the programme activities.
Our Conditions: Our conditions do not apply to partner schools or other organisations worked with. Each partner school /organisation has its own conditions.
Promotional materials: Programme participants should be aware that they may appear in our promotional materials such as brochures, website or photos.
Certificate re-issue: Fee of 70 Euros must be paid for Certificate re-issue
Replacement of Lost, stolen or damaged id card or passport: A replacement fee of 150 Euros plus expenses is charged for a lost, stolen or damaged id card or passport.
Personal Belongings: Although we will make any effort to help the participants find what they may have lost, they are fully responsible for any personal belongings left behind.
